September 9, 2006

Austrian/American "epic metal" band VISIONS OF ATLANTIS has been confirmed for the Dark Satur(n)days Festival, set to take place October 20 at Shiny'z Café in Kehlen, Luxembourg. Also scheduled to appear are ANUBIZ and KYRENEE.

VISIONS OF ATLANTIS last year announced the departure of singer Nicole Bogner. Replacing Nicole in the group's lineup is professional soprano singer Melissa Ferlaak from Minneapolis, Minnesota, who graduated with a master's degree from New England Conservatory in Boston, Massachusetts in 2003 for vocal performance. She has worked in the operatic field, most recently as Musetta in "La Boheme", and has been singing with AESMA DAEVA.

VISIONS OF ATLANTIS released their latest album, "Cast Away", in November 2004 through Napalm Records/SPV. The CD was recorded and mixed by Peter O. Moritz at Radwerk 14 Studios in Austria and was mastered by Ue Nastasi at Sterling Sound in New York City.
